Grateful

A fun project that started with finding a cast iron grate in an antique hardware store that I couldn't wait to turn into a piece of art. The base is a repurposed piece of wood that was sanded down, painted, and used for the base. Pointillism techniques using acrylic paint and a variety of paint mediums. The grate was polished and treated and then mounted to the wood base with epoxy resin with covers the entire piece of art.

This piece also has a special glow in the dark feature under black light and also in complete darkness once charged.
